I finally finished knitting a pullover.  It is a yet to be released pattern, so I am going to introduce it when it officially comes out.  It’s a beautiful oversized pullover.  I loved both the yarn and the easy-to-follow pattern.  It has been a bliss!

After 5 years of knitting, I finally figured out that I love stockinette.  If it’s a stockinette project, or garter, I can finish.  I am generally too busy that sometimes I cannot find a minute to knit for a few weeks.  Stockinette is my best friend these days.  Also, after all those half-satisfactory projects, now I can neatly pick up stitches along the edges.  It really took me 5 years, because you can only practice picking up stitches several times a year.

I feel sooooo accomplished today!

So, naturally, I am in search for a new project.  Linen yarn feels enticing.  Stockinette is my new found friend, and knitting laces with linen yarn is the worst nightmare you can ever create for yourself.

SHIBUIのLinenです。3カセしかないのですが、Assemblage (Kirstin Johnston)のkage、行けそうじゃないかと。こんな感じになる、はず。

So, it came down to this one – kage (means “shadow” in Japanese) from Assemblage. It should look like this.
I only have 3 skeins of SHIBUI Linen, so it’s a bit of a gamble.  Let’s see how it goes.

I may try adding a silk mohair thread, and knit with two strands – although I am still not sure if this is a good idea or not.

I may sound as if I spent the whole weekend knitting, but unfortunately that was not the case.  amirisu’s Etsy shop will be launched soon, and there are lots to do!
So, I should stop here.  Until next time!
