Co-founder of amirisu co., and the editor of amirisu knitting lifestyle magazine.

A marketer, editor, and (occasional) freelance translator.

Past experiences include: Junior editor at A+U magazine (internationally distributed architectural magazine), entrepreneur, strategic consultant at Booz & Co. (Strategy&), customer experience manager at an American financial institution, and HR consulting.

Graduated Hitotsubashi University (International Relations and Environmental Economics), Master in Urban Engineering at The University of Tokyo (Urban Design and Regional Planning), Year Abroad Program at UC Davis Community Develop Program (Landscape Architecture).

Translated a few books for Japanese publishers, including the Architect Says and the Designer Says from Princeton Architectural Press.

 

Interests:
Films, knitting, design, architecture, learning and thinking about languages, studying about how a city was formed and developed, slow food, collecting books, deciphering the making process of great crafts, and great marketing ideas.

田中 芽理

略歴:

amirisu co.共同代表。
マーケター、編集者、翻訳家。パンチニードル講師。

amirisu: 編み物ライフスタイル雑誌の出版 (@amirisushop)、輸入手芸材料を主に扱う毛糸オンラインショップ、実店舗WALNUT Kyoto (@Walnut_kyoto)とWALNUT Tokyo(@Walnut_tokyo)、編み物レッスンや資格制度の運営、日本製手芸用品の輸出などを行う会社。

建築専門誌A＋Uの編集者、起業家、戦略コンサルタント、金融機関のカスタマー・エクスペリエンス部門マネージャーを経て、2014年より再びコンサルティング・ファームに参画。
が、2014年6月に独立。京都に拠点を移す。

一橋大学法学部（環境経済）、カリフォルニア大学デイビス校（環境デザイン）修士奨学金留学、東京大学工学系研究科（都市デザイン・環境地域計画）修士。

訳書に『フランク・ロイド・ライトの帝国ホテル』（建築資料研究社）、『the Architect Says』『the Designer Says』（BNN社）、そのほか雑誌記事などがある。

 

興味：
好きなこと。映画、編み物、発音の練習、建築やデザイン、街の成り立ちや造りを考えること、どうしたらモノが売れるか考えること、読書、人間行動観察、切り絵、音読、旅先で観光をせずにただカフェで本を読んで周りの人とお喋りすること。美しいものや良く出来ているものを、どうしたら自分でも作れるか観察すること。

論理的に考えたら当然可能なはずの仕組みと、現実の世の中とのギャップを検証し、疑い、理由を考え、埋めることを常に意識している。

最近では、やはりハイキングと雑誌作り。
