“I thought that there were two rules in life – Never count the cost, and never do anything unless you can do it wholeheartedly. Now is the time to live.” – Everette Ruess

I came across this quote while wandering around my favorite bookstore this evening. Usually, the 2nd rule has a stronger appeal to me, but right now, “Never count the cost” has a bigger impact.
Compared to many tender hearted people, I think I have a tougher heart. I don’t blend in nor try to, so I am used to being a black sheep. But still, starting something new when there is no guarantee is not easy. Taking risks makes me very nervous. I always wonder, am I wasting my time?
I am a black & white person, in a way.

Now is the time to put an end to that thought.
Because, you will never know unless you try.

My motto, in case you are curious, is: “when in doubt, choose to do something than not to do it. because you are going to look back and regret it anyway. the worst regret is to think ‘what if’.”

Finally, I have a window of 15 minutes to write about my past weekend, but today is already Friday. Ugh! I am usually a “spend-a-weekend-entirely-on-a-couch” person… I wonder what happened to my life these days.
But beautiful oranges, aren’t they?

Yellow is my color for this spring. My confession: I used to love the color yellow when I was very small. When all my girl friends were saying they liked red and pink, and boys in my class preferred blues and greens, my favorite was yellow. Somehow I couldn’t bring myself to say I was a “pink” person, at the age of 6. But, I decided to lie about my favorite color when someone told me that yellow is the color a crazy person likes.

My preference has changed over the years, but right now, yellow looks lovely. Like this pair of new shoes.

And lastly, my first Limoncello making is done. I’ve got 4+ bottles of these citron colored liquid. Can’t wait to try it in a few weeks.
