Spring brings new hopes

After a long (and a little bit) cold winter, spring is finally here. My friend and I picked a date to go hiking back in February, and that particular day (yesterday) was the most perfect day. It was sunny, a bit chilly but the sun was warm, and flowers were blooming everywhere! The mountains in this area (south to Tokyo) was full of wild cherry blossom trees and spring green. So, so gorgeous!

京都に引き続き、会社の研修（というか箱根で1日缶詰）も無事終わり、久しぶりのオフの1日。昨日は大楠山にハイキングに行ってきました。2月に友人と日を決めたにしては出来過ぎの、完璧な1日。天気は最高で、少し涼しく、桜は満開で新緑が目に美しく。山があまりにも奇麗だったので、ずっとキャーキャー騒いでいました。行程は片道2時間程度で、体力のない自分にはピッタリでした。それでも4時間歩いたので、良い運動になりました。いつも余りにもじっと仕事をしているので、本当に良くない。今年はもっと歩きます。

Also, we finally received the printed copies from our printer. It took us more than 2 weeks, but it was worth the wait (also there was a long string of back and forth communication, which sometimes continued until 2 in the morning). We are still some orders. We are doing our best to get your orders shipped the soonest. Thank you so much for your patience!

遂に、4号の印刷版が届きました。2週間くらい入稿作業が続き、印刷に2週間。夜中まで印刷会社と遣り取りをして、やっと完成した出来映えは最高でした。一生懸命梱包していますので、まだ届いていない方は少々お待ち下さい。あと３０〜４０部くらいだと思います。

今回ロンドンやメルボルン、ポートランドなどの毛糸屋さんから10冊〜30冊単位で注文を頂き、アメリカの毛糸屋さんで流通する話も進んでいます。次号はもっと効率よく、ちゃんと儲けが出るように進めて行けるのじゃないかと期待が膨らむ。頑張ります。

今日は今年後半に向けて仕込みのビジネスランチ。皆んなで沢山ワクワクしました。ワクワクが集まると相乗効果で、本当に楽しいアイデアが浮かんで来る気がします。
それと今日感じたことは、何歳になってもやる気とフットワークの軽さを維持しなければならない、ということ。ガツガツするって素晴らしい。やりたいことが山のようにあるって素晴らしい。生きている限りそんな人間でいたいと、人生の先輩から学びました。
