Just got back from my vacation in the northern land.
This is a quick update – today is a school night after all.
(There is a red fox under the tree at a distance. Yes, I am testing your eye sight.)
He approached me the moment he recognized me. It made me a bit sad that some tourists might have fed him and he is no longer a wild fox.

Riding a horse was the first thing I did, after landing on the northern island on Day 1. Tokuko surprised me by saying that she always wanted to take a riding lesson and has been looking for a school wherever she lives. Because I do the same.

His name was “great land” in Japanese. He was the friendliest horse I’d ever met.
More soon…

I love how I get to travel to Japan this way…the topography and rural spaces continue to surprise me…in a good way!
Hi Patricia! Yes, our country has various topographies and you experience many different cultures in this tiny place. Glad you enjoyed my photos!
